Never GoA Poem by JupiterAbout the love for my children and fear of loss. The child breathing so softly so subtly that I check to make sure it’s still there. What would I do if you left me? No longer here for me to hold. No, I cannot compare thee to a summer’s day. To trivialize such a love as something that comes every year without welcome would undermine the pain I would feel if you should ever go. I hear of stories I see them in the news every day How could one go on? What would I do if you left me? No longer your sweet kisses for me to know. I am thankful for each day for being blessed with your love But I cannot help to hold you tighter when another little one has gone so far away. What would I do if you ever left me? No longer your smile to make me feel whole. For now I will not take for granted The unconditional love you have shown Because if you ever left me is something I never want to know
