What Do I Want To Be When I Grow Up?

A Chapter by bexbullet

Happy.

I want to be happy. It’s all I’ve ever wanted, really. From when I was a little girl, caught in the balance between heaven and hell, to when I was a teenage nobody feeling his rough hands feel me up and dress me down. I want to be out from under this steel umbrella of memories I wish I’d just forget already - of abuse and molestation and doing things I never wanted to do in the first place.

I want to wash clean this dirt that corrupts every corner of my skin, of my soul, of my life, of my existence. I want to shed this skin like a snake and be pure again.

George Watsky once said, “We’re every age at once tucked inside ourselves like Russian nesting dolls”

Dear God, I know you’re perfect, but could you lose a few of my pieces?
