Forgiven But Not ForgottenA Poem by exotic beauty
She looks at him, her heart squeezing in pain
She questions herself-have I loved him in vain? He flirts with another girl bringing him shame While she stands there defeated, broken, and slain She asks why can't he love me? Why is it the outside he always sees? Why can't he love me for me and let me be? But, one day mark my words he'll pay the fee Others want me but I singled him out I thought he was the one with not a single doubt He had he qualities humor, athletics, and smarts But however he pierced me like a dart Through everything he'll always be my 1st love Though all he gave me was a push and a shove I'll always know what tore us apart He was the passenger, I was his cart My color, my character, my content, my skin That's why he didn't want me, which is a sin I shall forgive but, shall never forget But don't worry, it's not over yet!
