Poison Apples

Poison Apples

A Poem by Elizabeth

poison apples
taste sweeter
with sugar

salt in an open wound
tickles
if you close your eyes

and lies are the truth
if you stand
on your head

Interesting way to change ones view of something to change its affects. Very nice write with great images and meanings. Of course I like the last verse the best as we humans are master of lies and novices at truth.

Haha oh Liz, this is wonderful. The third stanza basically sums up my entire existence, and it was just such a perfect way to end this. Thanks for the fresh perspective and the smile.
