The Day has come

 

The day has come,

To step up to the plate,

All the mistakes,

They have faded away,

Oblivious to the darkness,

Focusing on the light

At the end of the tunnel,

Time to take responsibility for things,

Today is my day to conquer,

To conquer all things possible.

Very nice content and easy to follow. I see in your poem the shrugging off and letting go of the 'stuff' that we carry around with us for more than a life time, always there to remind of the wrong and bad things we have done. And, then the freedom, 'I don't have to, nor will I, do this anymore', and then the excitement of the new life and confidence out ahead. What I got from your poem.
