Park Bench Reflections

Park Bench Reflections

A Poem by Nick Warwick

Pennies and pensions are all that remain
When our lives and our loves and our joys start to wain
Though we're born into sunshine, eventually rain
Will dampen the fires of our wanderings

Come join me right here, right now, just so
Your hand holding mine lets me cherish the glow
Of nothing to say and nowhere to go
Our brief meeting thus lasts an eternity

I love the moment of being here, the quiet knowing and the immersion in the acceptance of having nothing to say and nowhere to go. Just lovely!

About
Words have always seemed to me a mixed blessing, from which photography has long provided me with an escape. Ironically, and in a subtler way, so has poetry. I think it's the absence of rules. more..
