Why is it that men today are always characterized as either cavemen brutes, or sissy wimps? I think if we praised the good ones, the ones who enjoy a good snuggle, and know how to make their own sandwich, and fix stuff, maybe more would show up.

You are so right, Vol! I see guys like that! Either they are ALL man or not. I do think that most men probably know how to feed themselves, lol. I like to cook. But my ex loved the flavor of England food where he was born and lived till they came to the States. I never could compete. the marriage ended 4 years ago but thankfully I'm no longer competing! Yay! I love spaghetti and french fries and barbecue chicken, hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolet!

But this is the thing, very few of the poems about love capture the sensuality of whispers and the feel of a breath across a neck or shoulder... like the guy who wants a shoulder, wannabe poets just don't get it.

Yes! Honestly, it is pretty badly written by today's standards, almost adolescent, but it kind of gives it a certain charm. If I'm not mistaken, she was part of the "'Algonquin Round Table," informal group of American literary men and women who met daily for lunch on weekdays at a large round table in the Algonquin Hotel in New York City during the 1920s and '30s." That included the likes of Virginia Wolfe and Dorothy Parker.

I've heard some people smoke after sex. Never got beyond sweaty hot, myself. (laughing) Eh, to each his/her own. Thank you.
