Moved on.

Moved on.

A Poem by Beth Wilcox

I wanna vanish into thin air.

It's been a year since we haven't shown any care.

Honesty is honestly the worst thing right now.

I still sit here and think of how.

How it all went down.

We know this is for the best and we have both moved on.

But seeing you today made me think of the first time in my lawn.

Feet in the grass, surrounded by bright stars,

In your arms, watching the cars.

You look at me and I look into your eyes,

and I swear I can hear all those cries.

Your heart is aching and you miss me.

But what we had is only what we used to be.

Two and a half long years spent with you in sun and rain,

that's what you poured down the drain.

It isn't coming back, loving and understanding are qualities you lack.

You aren't what I need, no matter how many times you plead.

Look at these words and read. Read them over and over.

I have loved again and he treats me right, I have moved on.

All our memories are two feet away from being gone.

A wonderful poem filled with optimism for the future yet also regret for what went wrong in the past.

A wonder and powerful poem. It shows how he broke you hurt and mistreated you. He comes begging to be back in your arms, and you had already moved on with someone who treated you a lot better. I agree that this is a most excellent poem.

Good logic in the poem. Best to listen to the mind. Tells you to escape. Best run away. I like the story and the very good ending. A excellent poem.
