Surrounded by waterA Poem by Beth WilcoxSurrounded by water, here I am, your lil daughter. You walked on this, what it was a shame to have not be a witness.
I feel you around me, surrounded by you. I feel your presence and I want you to know that I love you too.
You died on the cross, what a tragic lost, but you died for my sins. And father, lately I've been a bad girl. My glasses; blury in the lens.
I can't see the right path and I can't be like you, that's all I want to do. I've hurt people and I have lied and I fall to my knees now, and bow.
Please forgive me, for I know you won't unlove me, but I want you to be able to say, "I'm proud of you, you're who you should be."
I will do my best and serve you right, not once did I go out of your sight. You have been there from day one, and this is why I run.
I run into your arms this moment, and this is when I get the chance and I'll own it. I will love you unconditionally; increcibly.
