Thank God

Thank God

A Poem by Beth Wilcox

His eyes, I get lost in them.

I pray every night ending with "ahmen".

I thank God for bringing him in my life

before I met him I was basically runnning with a knife.

Unaware, I didn't care.

I never cared about the things that I emotionally couldn't bare.

They happened to me,

and I figured I couldn't do anything and let it be.

But when he came around,

he picked me up from the ground.

Holding my tight and I thought he just might,

might be the one.

So now I run into his arms and I know it's love.

I thank God from above.

A beautiful and positive poem. We need to be thankful for the good things and people in a life. I like the complete poem. A very good ending to the excellent poem of hope and thankfulness.
