Breathe

Breathe

A Poem by WritersSoul

The skies are black,
The wood is silent.
The air is freezing,
Shivers are violent.

The sounds are humid,
My breath an icey hum.
Hiar tangled behind me,
All I can hear is the beat of my heart,
Like a drum.

I'm alone,
Aren't I?
The dotted stars look down,
With a wistful eye.

Can I get out?
The darkness and silence is my only reverie.
Laughter mixed with screams in my head,
Can anyone save me?

This silence,
Eats away at me.
I smile a twisted smile,
Thank God no-one can see.
