Chapter 3-appetite

Bella’s now speaking.

Bella :

Goodbye my perfect angel-faced darling, Edward I’ll be here awaiting you. Then he was gone like a lightning bolt flashing through cold skies, I was alone but I didn’t worry I gave Alice a call, she was much too moody and stubborn about the whole outfit disagreement this morning! Never less I had other friends to talk to. Well Jessica was still moaning about Mike Newton dumping her.  Again.  Everyone else was at La Push beach accept Jacob. Where was Jacob? Billy said as soon as he got our wedding invitation to be the best man he had ripped his could clothes off, phased and head for the wood. Jacob didn’t cope well with pain or rejection, he reminds me of a 16 year old. Oh he is 16, I forget with his muscled arms, oversized body and totally mixed up head.  I lay there on the bed in silence for about 2 minutes still thinking of Jacob, he’d been gone nearly 6 months now and I was worried about him. The pack were too Sam and the others had gone mad trying to find him.

Crash,  ahhhhhh ! I gave a long yelping noise as a glass shard plunged into my pain-stricken foot, I was lying on an Egyptian cotton creamy-white duvet that Alice had chosen for us. However it now had an enormous blood-red patch stain on it as my foot spewed.   I hunched my back over and delicately pulled the crystal shard from my foot painfully. Then I turned and to my great disbelief it was JASPER CULLEN!  I was perplexed and puzzled, not one two ask many questions but the only reason why I didn’t was I was speechless, gob-smacked if you may FLABERGASTED.  DRING, DRING, DRING , Jasper’s phone vibrated aggressively in his pocket. To my even more surprised eyes without a word he answered it! I heard a tiny, high-pitched voice on the other end, it was Alice of course, I couldn’t make the words it but it sounded like she was pleading and warning.

Even more confusing.

Jasper dropped the expensive looking phone on to the laminate flooring which was now carpeted with a thick layer of glass, the phone smashed.  Jasper was focussed only on me , my eyes wide with the captivating scene taking place.  My mind conjured up all kinds of horrid things like : the Volturi were coming and Jane was furious.  I bet  Arrow had decided with her and so had Caius and Felix would be the one to do after I’d be tortured by watching Edward rive in pain, I was being crucified but i was no Jesus saving hell’s spirits.

I swallowed  the horrible thoughts that left my throat thick and dry and muttered desperately “Jasper what’s going on, is Edward okay, is Alice hurt?” I grimaced at the thought of tiny, fragile Alice and her bony arms.

He softly said “Bella I sorry,” 

“Huh? What? ,” I muttered

I saw him bare his teeth and his hazel-gold eyes go blood-drenched red, the way I’d saw the newborns in the clearing prepare for the fight. Wait he was going to fight? Who?  Not fight, but kill.  That’s why Edward wouldn’t let me in the Cullen’s home anymore, that’s why i was never alone in a room with Jasper, that’s why Edward had made a safety plan and given me a new fancy black cell-phone which I was dragging out my pocket. He grabbed it from me and through it across the room into the deep blue wall. Well that was useless when vampires were involved.  My heart accelerated and my hand shock violently.   Jasper shook his head like he was disagreeing with himself but the he grasped my old orange t-shirt and picked me up. Then the door slammed open it was my knight in shining armour. In this case better Edward, my beautiful Edward ( despite the bear blood on his t-shirt) the others weren’t with him ( they  are slower) then a cold sharp pain was on my neck and I was dying in Jasper’s merciless arms teeth lunged in my neck ......................
