Forgetting that as written, you loosen them all at the same time, you release them less than a full turn for safety's sake. And you don't begin to release them till the Jack is in place and carrying a bit of the car's weight, as a safety precaution. If they're released to the "not totally off" point they suggest, depending on the conditions where you are, as you release the last nut, the car could suddenly shift. You NEVER fully release them till the car is at least partly supported by the jack. And you never remove them till the car is fully lifted to the point where the replacement tire will fit, to be certain it won't shift as it lifts and fall.
