for the first day of summer

lyric of longest day

suns light lingers

yellow gold moment

bare skin embraced

warmth surrounding

contentment found

late night star

first star sighted

smiling eyes gaze up

tomorrows minute

less of now

remembering fall

winters song

I love the summer solstice & you did a great job of capturing how magical it can be. Your poem shows summer as fleeting, another aspect of the solstice -- I love how days are long, but they start getting shorter as soon as it becomes summer!
