DEPRESSED

D for down in the dumps.

E for everything sucks.

P for pissed off at everyone who appears happy.

R for ripped up on the inside. 

E for exercise, a momentary escape from feelings and life.

S for suicide, or thoughts of.

S for screaming, at yourself or the world around you.

E for eating your feelings.

D for destruction, of everything you love.

 

DEPRESSED for

     I'm not trying anymore

    I have no motivation

   and I'm tired of fighting.

  For a submission to life,

 saying "OK. You have me."

 

For helplessness, for hopelessness,

 for having tried everything

  for worthlessness

   for wondering why

    for not understanding

     for having a desire deep down inside

      not to give up.

 

Depression tears at the heart because there is life desiring to rise above the muck, and yet it is suffucating under the weight of insecurity and doubt.
