You Don't Have to Understand

You Don't Have to Understand

A Poem by bd

I wish you could love me with no understanding
And touch and feel me with no questioning
And could you not judge me
I do want you to neither try to change me
Nor give up on me
Desire, love, touch but not sadden me

Do not try to take possession of myself in this way
What if you were like me and I were like you
How is it possible for this love to confront absence from one another?
I need you to remember how and why I love you
Remember those days when we made love passionately

Love has a unique requirement of politeness
It is not to be rough and wild
I want you to love me as I am, not to try to change me
You don't have to understand
It's not a power struggle, let it be so
And remember there is no winner in love

About
The past is a gaping hole, your only chance is to turn around and face it. But is like kissing the lips of your dead love, darkness waiting in the hole of her mouth. We are willing to suffer, to die f.. more..
