Knife

Knife

A Poem by BetanuZwei

The fly on the sill.

The weeds on the path.

The fleas on the dog.

The fish on the hook.

It's shouting from the kitchen.

The rat in the trap.

The ants in the store.

The lice in the hair.

The sheep in the pen.

Shining, glistening, sharp.

The pig for the pork.

The bull for the beef.

The chicks for the eggs.

The lamb to the slaughter.

It fits in my palm.

How big is the jump?

Good morning, lover.
