Sky

I saw the sky today, blue and grey.

I didn't think it looked like dreams

or heaven or God.

I didn't see angels in the clouds,

just rain.

How am I supposed to feel?

Surely not stone, cold, empty.

But all I saw was sky today, blue and grey.

Until I saw your face.
