Red-Light

Red-Light

A Poem by BetanuZwei

The lights are dim around here,

the half-light makes it all beautiful.

The night is cold, but still we stand

with no clothes on.

We are the creatures of the night,

don't need your pity, just your cash.

Why are we the ones they hate?

Surely you are worse, pulling up here,

I feel sorry for you.

How sad your life must be,

seeking solace on Froddingham Road.
