Sleeping Beauty

Sleeping Beauty

A Poem by BetanuZwei

Good morning.

Your face greets my morning eyes.

Half shut with glue from sleeping.

You're still asleep

and I wonder what you're thinking

or dreaming.

I hope that it's of me

and you lay still because you're content.

Your face is beautiful, white as snow.

Cold, but sweet to taste.

Remember

the strawberries with sugar and cream?

How you squirmed then.

But wake up gorgeous!

New day has come and life goes on!

Well,

at least

for some.
