Taste

Taste

A Poem by BetanuZwei

“She nourishes the poison in her veins and is consumed by a secret fire” - Virgil (70-19BC)

One drop could kill.

But all I want is a taste.

I just want to feel the burn on my tongue,

in my throat.

I just want the blaze in my brain

to wipe out those memories.

How sweet I wonder?

This taste of death.
