peace

i am just having a breakdown

should i choose peace or should i choose poem?

i know this is not my home

i am at the stage but

this is not my role

i apologize to all of the audience

i get off the stage

maybe in another show

we'll meet again in peace

You can find peace within poem. Writing can release build up emotions that need to be released.

I do not like public speaking or standing in front of people so being on stage for me would be terrifying.

I liked the visual this poem gave and it was pictures within my mind.

We can do both. Maybe with our words. Stand for peace. Poetry had been my peace for 54 years. I wrote into journals to keep my anger at-bay. I hope you keep writing. When I was a young soldier in the late eighties. I roamed the California coastline. I met a man who befriended me. I was buying drinks. He read my work and he told me. Live more, suffer more and you will become a better writer. I didn't know he was famous. He was Charles Bukowski. I adore your poetry and thoughts dear Beren. You are welcome dear Beren. You are a very good writer. I had to see and do terrible things. I was a soldier for 15 years. Taught me. No-one win in war. Old people, women and children pay for the rich man greed. I have journals I wrote in 1976-1980. I read them and I laugh. Was good to be young and hopeful. Our best days.

Now I see why you mostly talks about peace in your poems.
I have to say that, it is a gain to be “human” after the war, it is still a great gain to be a humanist and to be hopeful. You won the war. Greatful

My answer would be both peace and poem. I personally like to take all that is not peaceful and express it in poetry and that seems to work well enough. Makes for some interesting results as well.
It was interesting to read the actor in a play analogy throughout. I liked how it kind of stayed throughout instead of a one and done reference.
