baby-faced dictator

baby-faced dictator

A Poem by Beren Ongur

Baby-faced dictator remembered that he is about to die

But it didn't bring back the lives he took on the gallows

The legs of the throne he did not abandon were broken

Folks didn't even hear a squeak

The baby-faced dictator knows only newborn children will know his name

When 16-year-old mothers start to understand politics

Their children were already orphans

When he married a peasant girl to save his crown

The young girl did not know who killed her child's father

This is so powerful...too many dictators these days with baby faces and terrible morals.
And some Crowns are not worth saving.
