Bittersweet memories fill this lovely piece...you touch on art, music and words that can hurt....this is the sad part...yet you mention Vincent Van Gogh, one of my favorites...with the same blue eye as your lost love...also somewhat sad...a reminder..the globe is perhaps a symbol of your parting....and lastly the French city of Paris and a French singer " This city is beautiful because of you", complimentary!

This poem beautifully intertwines love, art, and melancholy, creating a vivid emotional atmosphere. The reference to tobacco between pages and the imagery of a snow globe suggest a sense of nostalgia and longing. Comparing the subject's eyes to Van Gogh’s "Starry Night" adds a poetic, almost timeless quality, while the French songs evoke a bittersweet tone. The poem captures both the beauty and the pain of love, with the "cold killer" suggesting how memories and emotions can be haunting. It’s a short but impactful piece that lingers with the reader. Love your work :)

This poem is full of meaning despite it's size. "If Vincent Van Gogh could've seen your eyes, the Starry Night would be more blue." Wow, this line is so powerful I am so shocked it's perfect!!! Forgive me but I am at a loss for words, this is truly a masterpiece! I don't even know what else to say!!! Well done my friend!

This poem feels very dreamy and deep. I like how it talks about a city being beautiful because of someone. The part about Van Gogh and Starry Night is cool, like the eyes are even more special than the painting.
The snow globe and French songs make it feel kind of sad but in a nice way. It sounds really artistic and mysterious! Lovely work, Beren! Happy Tuesdays :)

Thank you for your time!
the photo and the lines - they talk and emote here. books, writers, songs and music - that's certainly a way to set up the mood and be lost in background of thoughts. this write comes across as a reflection and time for self, there's a certain mood to this write and it speaks to you. thanks for sharing, Beren.
