how i wish i was the person before all the trauma. nowadays, im so bitter and angry and hate myself. these things surely show on my face too. an exorcism would be nice.

I don't think you ever really get over someone you have loved, even after an exorcism. For me, and where your poem took me, is, am I a better person because of this love? Have I grown and better understood what I want out of a love? If we can do this, I believe we can recapture that smile in the photos, even if that love was toxic. And here is a question, if this poem is something very personal, more autobiographical, Have you grown? Do you see your own self-worth, so that the next time you love, that kiss will be for the first time!!

You're absolutely right. It's just a process that passes with time. At first it's easy to believe that you'll never love again and never be happy again, but one day you hear the same song again and you're like, "Hey I was happy back then, this song doesn't hurt anymore, I'm happy without him and it's a really good song." You can think of it like the stages of grief, at first denial and anger parts can not accept the loss. But then you accept, It passes with time and makes you a better lover for yourself and for the next one.
