How to Live

How to Live

A Poem by Beregond

Ignite your mind,

Converge your thoughts,

Remember your dreams,

And pain and faults,

Take the blame,

Feel the heat,

Hurt, worry, trust,

And pinch yourself awake.

Try something old,

Try something new,

Laugh and cry and cut yourself,

Piece your heart together,

Tear your eyes apart,

Plead and lust and try,

And fail and win,

And die inside,

And bide your time,

And waste it all,

And love and hate,

What you were and are,

And do just that,

But in reverse,

And see and hear,

And taste and feel it,

New and old

Again.

And breathe

back in

Wonderful and indeed words to live by..life is complex and diverse and meant to be experienced in all it's moods..I become so frustrated with one dimenstional poets and writers.. the writing is flat because no one lives in a world that does not move and change ..a breath .. and laugh and cry and all the inbetween.
I liked this poem because it begs us to live in the world as it is.
