blue eyes

blue eyes

A Poem by Ben

You blue eyed creature, how I adore you so.
I just want to know you until your existence isn't so much.
You 're not my type, not my preference, and in my eyes not even my kind of species.
To be honest you're not even your kind of species.
Something about that tongue of yours seems to just blow my mind however.
The words you say are synthesizing, and I memorize them like they are lyrics.
It's funny because that's all you do with that tongue for me, and I just love it.
I stare into your face--I see no wrong in you.
Your past is all but small, and your presence voluptuous.
I know you a little more than most, though I haven't known you a little more than most.
I know to go any further would be like asking to lay in bed with a rattlesnake.
So I'll just watch you from outside the cage with all eyes.
I'll continue for wishful mornings, and hopeful evenings.
For you, there is no cure.
When I reach my hand "without thinking", please send those fangs right through my skin.
