This is My LifeA Poem by Beau RussellThis is my life, and it is yours too. This is my life, a crowded diner, faces familiar, and unknown. My motions fluid, senses numb. I've become accustomed to the bustling of life, and lack thereof. Family's convene, while solitary lovers mourn their loss. A fresh cup of coffee steams a weighty aroma that flares the nostrils of bonded pups. The old baker, abandoned by sobriety long ago, whips the cream, cracks the crust, and layers the glaze. A babe laughs it's first, while a mother cries. I feel the feeling of an ecosystem, alive, breathing, beating, burning. This is my life, and it is yours too. © 2015 Beau Russell |
