beauty of my continent's food

We have a certain beauty

That we do not speak of

A certain novelty

That has praise not yet enough

 

It is the strata of our culture

The reason we are healthy

The heritage for our future

Again our great novelty

 

Our food, our food

The source of our African nature

The reason for our health good

The cause of our dark skinned texture

 

Beautiful in its simplicity

Delicious in its common taste

A delight with no complexity

Whether cassava meal or yam paste

 

Delicious just delicious

That is the African food

Very interesting read. It definately gives me an insight into your culture and that is very important when you want to present a meaningful poem. Although the poem is not perfect. I don't know why but the fact that the last three stanzas are split up like that confuses me. Remember that when using stanzas, you should always use them for effect. Thank you for writing this poem.
