Mistake of us allA Poem by Benson OsujiNational poem in sorrow of what my nation isGone are the days The days of a great aura When shined new rays A new path for a proud mural
The murals of change fade No one hears the little lie The lie that was made In utter hunger for power's pie
The beautiful promise We all believed would come to pass Now haunts in societal demise In every of our ways like poison gas
We can do nothing But listen to our death As we kindled a fire for something Not knowing what we met
This is our choice Our country with leaders we voted for © 2016 Benson OsujiAuthor's Note
