My liberty, my cause

My liberty, my cause

A Poem by Benson Osuji
"

A poem about freedom

"
Every day I wake
I grow strong
Knowing soon all would be for my sake
My mind would be mine never to wrong

For through and fro
I search the earth
For a mind greater than minds to throw
Nothing I found even in wisdom's hearth

In my birth
Was I free
And in my death
Will I be free

Though the road
Dusty and dangerous
I will succeed where man's failure rode
Even in my defeat I will rise continuous

Until the battle is won
And the sound of freedom
Is heard in the camp of the worn
And till my very captor looses his kingdom

I liked the poem. Honest and true words written.

I liked the above lines. I tell people often. Freedom is missed, when she is gone. Thank you Benson for sharing the outstanding poetry.

We are born free, and we may die free, these are deep truths!

What I think, Benson,
is that something deep and assured, dedicated and passionate within your core composed this excellent piece of emotional (almost spiritual) exactitude for the aim, the love, and glory of freedom to be won for yourself and your peoples.
There are issues with grammar throughout that, when addressed, will render this one of your best, i think.

Very good effort my astute young bard! ⁓ Richard
