Change is now

A poem about the coming change in my country

Ah breath the air

See the sun

Hear the new tunes

And feel the new breeze

We have dreamt of change

But now we feel change

As it comes to our doorsteps

And stands outside the windows

Many at times

We have heard it

But now we know it

As it clings to our ways

A new Nigeria is here

A Nigeria of the future

The land of glory has returned

The soaring eagle has landed

Ring the tune

Forget yesterday

Only today and the future exist

As we march in the Nigeria of our dreams

Tell your neighbor

Say the words

And dance to a new tune

As we say '' change is now''
