The SummitA Poem by Mr.CrescendoThe tale of a hiker who ends up losing his way. We're born into this world at the base of a mountain. Expected to climb it, they say, "Go on, son. You can." So you take your first steps onto this conqueror of man. Cautiously stepping, without even a plan. You ascend higher, and your parents become hazy. The knowledge you've obtained lets you think, "Just maybe." You've climbed quite a ways, but your rope unfurls. Luckily you're caught by the hands of a girl. Indebted, you join her, It's the least you could do. Huddled close in the cave you whisper "I love you." She doesn't respond, but you know in your heart that this woman you met is the muse of your art. You scramble and race to make it through the storm. That one final push, you keep her warm. At the top of the spire, the mountain's summit. You're promptly shoved off to you she didn't commit. Through countless hours, you suffered and strained to write a masterpiece, and to only her perform. But she was much better, so with a graceful gesture, from out your chest your heart she had torn. And the reality is, that to this day Men will still find her while on their way.
