Not the first, and certainly not the last, onward they walk under pockets of illumination that gives an eerie cast to the road. As for the rooster, Red has come back around.

Weird to him is that most would have run off, but this one is different. Knowing he shouldn’t make it a big deal, he does. “Where does the rooster fit in.”

Jasper slips him an off centered look before quietly saying. “Those two men said he was supper.” Leaving him with that, his mind flows along through the pages of time in visiting the moment of his sling doing its thing.  So be it, is the stamp used as Jasper points out. “Is that it?” He holds on from answering a moment before he drops his stare. “It is.”
