BrokenA Poem by JoThe road to emptiness.Broken A foetus lies motionless, snapped from it's cord; the future lies empty, the promise was flawed. Silence holds court, deep dark as the womb. A cradle lies cold in a pastel clad room. A glass lies in shards on a fire-lit hearth; finest cut crystal, an object of worth? Once, no more, no attempted resurrection could now restore what once was perfection. A grave lies solitary, all now departed. A wedding ring lies in the dust discarded. Tears are no more, no more words to be spoken - something, somewhere inside lies broken. © 2014 JoReviews
