Haiku Series - Between Winters

Between Winters

Gambling lambs fly

Springing, sprightly, spirits high

Spring brings earth alive.

Woodbine trumpets ring

Salute a summer’s passing

Fanfare in silence.

Geese in formation

Homeward, hoot in elation

Slice the autumn sky.

This sounds very original and honest. I love the aliterations, and I have to salute your wit. Excellent!

I can't say I've ever heard of Gambling Lambs before. ha I like each one. Your sense of meter and alliteration stand out and make each one like an easy song to listen to. Great stuff.

Thanks for that. I should, of course, have written 'gambolling lambs'.
