Imagination

A Poem by benjammingham
"

A poem I did in like 4th or 5th grade. Inspired by Calvin and Hobbes

"

In my mind I see a fire breathing,

Dragon with large teeth revealing

Alien bones and that kind of gore

But also spaceships with gadgets galore!

The spaceships had come, to conquer our kingdom

In order to rule, and learn from our schools.

Then in my mind, I saw a unicorn

Who was blowing a magnificent horn!

In order to warn the animals,

Of the dragon’s GIANT mandibles!

The dragon would fight,

To destroy all our light,

Yet he would work hard and then grow weary

For galaxies are endless

And endless is the creation

In my imagination

I really like this. :)
I could totally picture this poem with Bill Watterson's illustrations surrounding it as a border! That would be so cool.

I love Calvin & Hobbes. Lines 3 to 6 make me picture spaceman Spiff :P

Nice job!
