Wonderstruck

As you probably noticed all my stories are pretty much about one girl. So I am going to take songs and translate them into actual stories that relate to us. Taylor Swifts song "Enchanted"

I was bored. This party had turned out to be a complete failure. I glided past the vacant eyes of the other partygoers, my cup empty. Honestly, I was going to bail, even though my best friend was hosting the party. I was simply done with the absurd events that had transpired.

I had put up with the jokes of many girls who were desperate enough to go for me. My empty laughs were not lost on them, but I was not about to admit that I was, deep down, lonely. Still, the last straw was when a drunk girl tried to make out with me right after throwing up. I was just done.

I shouldered my way through the crowds, the couples making out, the shirtless idiots, etc. 

And then I saw you.

Standing alone. You looked upset, sitting on that couch, surrounded by other couples giggling and kissing. So I made a decision. My head, suddenly clear of all negativity, decided to be brave, which is HIGHLY unusual...

I nudged a couple out of my way and sat down. 

"Hi, I dont think we've met...I'm Ben."

"Julia."

"Sorry, you had me wonderstruck for a moment, I don't usually get tongue tied..."

You had this look on your face, and the way you looked down at the floor, as if you were ebarrassed, told me that I had you. 

"Honestly, I was gonna ditch this place until I saw you sitting here all alone and whatnot. Can I get you a drink?" 

"Actually, you should probably have a drink yourself before you ask a girl, but hey, why not?"

The night was great. Turned out to be better than I thought it would. However, from the moment I saw your face I was simply lovesick. I was up until two just wondering what you were thinking. I was hoping you would cherish this night as much as I had because something strange had happened. As if it was a spark. Of true love? Maybe. But I had no clue what you were thinking. I just hoped you weren't in love with someone else...

Did you know? Could you know?

That I was Enchanted to meet you?
