A treason with a smileA Poem by Marie
Washed away were the words I wrote
by the wave of a cruel cold sea. A childish ambition. To write our names in the land of time when no voice dares to break my desperation. As if some trick could bring you back to me. Wishful thinking had never been so hopeless. When memory can make it better, reality remains shut. And every embrace that was a shelter will be one thorn more in my chest. A treason with a smile is not meant to harm the sight.
