Damnation

Damnation

A Poem by Marie
"

This one tells a story rather than being just static. A little dynamism for a change!

"
In darkness and roughness,
I have known the warmth of emptiness.
I was a secret in the back of a locked mind.

I hoped for an end but you would never speak to me.
Are my fears the ones that hold me back?
Or is there something more?

Through restless nights
I have learned the sounds
from someone else.

Without finishing the spell
he shows before me
Am I coming to life?
Something doesn't seem to fit.

His voice is just a whisper
or a chant I don't manage to understand
but as I try to hold to this reality
I feel numb and start losing myself again

Everything is fading
through an impossible glass

My skin shines and becomes
a sister of the clouds.

Just before the first and last scream
tries to come out of my lips
I realize my fatal curse.
