La Pucelle D'Orleans

La Pucelle D'Orleans

A Poem by Marie

I am the woman inside a girl's body
that left part of me to die.
The visions of God in my eyes
the voices of angels in my ears,
hastened my departure.
For a Kingdom from above
I shall give my life.
To bid farewell
and never come back.
A sword in my hand
announces the fight.
A flag in the other,
will spread my cause.
Anger through your mouths
will give birth to the lies
no other reaction might bloom
if you don't know how to bleed.
Never I have thought of dropping
until freedom is taken
from your greedy fingers,
a crown for the land.
I persevere to be strong
before I see the light
If I should burn
then nothing will hurt.
