Nightdreaming

Nightdreaming

A Poem by Marie

One step more is what takes her to fly.
When her thoughts started to wander
beyond the ground
her eyes contained all the stars.
Hunting hopes with a broken cage,
turning around to spreading her wings
she just had a move to do,
and everything would be lighter.
The vault promised her a home
the fallen feathers are the price.
The vertigo has died in her throat
as soon as the last remaining fear
has lost the rope to grab.
