Requiem of a Relationship

Requiem of a Relationship

A Poem by Recall_the_Atrocity

This is the falling.
This is the fade.
Can you hear the calling,
Shouting for days.

Love you will not find.
Feeble attempts of forgetting.
Skin crawling,
Compelling the mind.

Not now,
Not in this way.
Heat pulses through me,
Please say you’ll stay.

A distraction,
the purpose you serve.
Another disconnection,
From the pain I deserve.

Damage done from one,
Passed to another.
The process will run,
From lover to lover.

Run faster, get further
Yet never far enough.
For as you run faster
The past calls your bluff.

Never escaping the pain.
Loss of hope fills you,
This past becomes your bane.

Comfort with another,
Never again.
Never again.

Recall_the_Atrocity
I was in a very dark place when I wrote this, and that's definitely why it gives off a hopeless vibe.

I'm young, and just about to start my life. I've never planned on being a writer, but it's always been something that I've enjoyed. To me writing is something that can evoke emotions and ease them a.. more..
