The (lonely) Lost Eagle

The (lonely) Lost Eagle

A Poem by Michelle

Hidden from the public eye,
She paces fast across the sky,
Cooing out her battle cry.

Survival to her is no game;
Killing with no sense of shame,
Wonder why she flies away with no disclaim?

Far across the ocean sailing,
Going up and down just scaling,
She has her mind set on not failing.

What plans does her majesty fortaste,
While she feels of so displaced,
From the place she has now to face?

Now against the glistening water,
You can see the mother's daughter,
The cause of this journey meant not to slaughter.

As the two proud eagles stand,
Standing on no man's land,
Peering deep in the clear water strands,
Falling first deep into gravity's bosom,
Only to fly back home, hand in hand.
