Open Arms

Open Arms

A Poem by E. Paris
"

A word picture about a tree standing in a field.

"

The tall man like figure

standing in the field,

calls many to come,

and rest in his arms.

His large body stands,

strong and tall.

His green cloak swaying

in the chilled breeze.

A song, a beautiful song,

comes from deep within,

melodious and sweet,

filling the air.

The man like figure

standing in the field,

calls many to come

And rest in his arms.

His brown leather features

though rough and rigid,

create a warm embrace,

To all who may come.

The tall lone figure

weathers storms with ease.

But welcomes the gentleness

of a cool summers breeze.
