Religion?

Religion?

A Poem by bellastella
"

Is this what religion is supposed to be? Should I even judge?

"

All we need to do is step away,

breathe.

But we can't we are enthralled by passion,

it's a beautiful, scary scene

when we pit ourselves against each other

even though we are fighting for the same thing

we are fighting to save our religion

by exploiting it

denying it

blaspheming against it

in spite of the other side

my mind is filled with the incessant, meaningless chatter

of a thousand crying fools

then i realize love can only be found in silence between the lips

and harpsicordial actions of sacred, tender fingers

my strumming was drown by my own ugly singing

a little more do would do good

but i am only human like the rest

so i can only talk and be sad

these are lovely words..you have gone through it well
they are not shouting and crying religion ..no
everyone is after his own view of the thing
he tells what he likes..and discard what he does not like
i think after all its politics..everything is damn politics
Beautiful Jean D Arc..the saint of France
she wanted to liberate her country
the politicians..all..used religion to break her down
bring her out as a witch and blasphemous against the church
and they burned her beautiful soul..she died in front of all ..
they swear seeing her between the flames
dying..and laughing..and they crying..
wonderful write..

I love that. And it's so true! All our world is just fighting for their religion, and don't basically all religions teach not to use violence and to love? That's why I'm not into the whole 'religion' thing. Anyways, enough ranting from moi.

Overall, I very nice and beautiful poem that's full of truth =).

This was very nice. There was an abundance of beautiful truth found within. Really getting at the meat of the matter. There is a poem by Rumi that this reminded me of. Where he says "What is God's fragrance like? Kiss me on the lips, Like this." We really do get so caught up in so much BS & thoughtless chatter that we forget the essence of Love.

"then i realize love can only be found in silence between the lips

and harpsicordial actions of sacred, tender fingers"

I love that!

This is an amazing piece.
