ruins

ruins

A Poem by Lore-in
"

there are fallen towers in my mind.

"

to live?

to die?

what questions are these

that we ponder

and spill our thoughts over

every day?

i want a new question

to contemplate.

hold a gun to my head

and ask me to choose

life

or

death.

i would choose life

every time.

that would be a time

for trickery.

those questions

that don't have

a correct answer.

i would dance

across ancient cities

to find the truth.

the incomprehensible truth.

the answer to every question

lies within the heart

the soul

and the mind.

so why can't i find mine?

where is my answer?

as i spill over ruins

of buildings lost

epic towers

tumbled to the earth

because in the end

gravity

was too strong.
