thighs

thighs

A Poem by Lore-in
"

we all hate some part of our body. this is mine.

"
I hate my thighs.
They remind me of hams
Hanging in the store windows
of a downtown butcher shop.
Big and round- thunderous.
Sometimes I look at them
And see cottage cheese.
I hate cottage cheese,
The lumpiness throws me off.
The blue veins run like rivers
Under my white as snow skin.
They never see the sun,
That could be the problem,
If they were darker,
Thinner,
More muscular-
I wish.

blunt, yet it reveals the cold truth while looking at the mirror in bare skin during an insecure moment. thumbs ^.
