The mind; Blake’s sunflower

The mind; Blake’s sunflower

A Poem by xeroxcandybar
"

Part of a series of poems on the nature of the mind.

"

The mind is a sunflower,

The blessed heliotrope, Proclus’ attendants of the sun.

Whose circular dance towards the sun lead no where but here .

Sweet wondering child of naïveté

Forever ascending for ascendance.

In search of the great satellite’s solar light  from which you came.

In ignorant rebellion against your eternal parent .

Your upward glances will not allow you to see that you are the product of The sun.

That you are the sun.

I like the writer's choice of words and overall portrayal of the mind, its refreshingly original
