Pretty Girl at the Bar

Pretty Girl at the Bar

A Chapter by Bekah B

The pretty girl at the bar

She has pretty little scars

She's drinking whiskey from the bottle

To drown the hole in her heart

So the bartender asks her

What she's chugging liquor for

She says tonight it doesn't matter

Can she have a couple more?

Girl, I think you've had enough

You don't have to be so tough

It doesn't matter if you have to cry

Sit right here and dry your eyes

It's not the end of the world

And it will all be okay

I can keep you company tonight

Or perhaps another day

She sees in him no malice

So she puts the bottle down

But still her tears just keep on flowing

Somehow he's the one that drowns
